What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha is also broken down as “ha–” (meaning sun) and “–tha” (meaning moon). It is about balancing both our active and passive energy through postures, breath, and meditation. We navigate the practice increasing in strength, grace, and breathing by surrendering fully into postures. Hatha yoga is an incredible tool for personal transformation and helps us to deepen and embrace more fully the present moment.
Hatha yoga is traced back to the 15th century and was founded by Svami Svatmarama. It is the base for many popular styles (including Iyengar, Bikram, Kundalini, and Ashtanga). Hatha yoga is a wonderful starting point for beginners into the yoga world as well as all levels can benefit and feel noursished from practice.

What People are Saying
“Golden Being is an amazing place to find physical, emotional, and spiritual healing and growth. Kalyn is very intuitive in the way she works with people, and was patient with me as she introduced me to new techniques and poses. I appreciate that her practice doesn't only focus on the physical benefits of yoga, but finding peace and healing through processes of mindfulness and awareness. Kalyn's natural abilities as a healer and knowledge of both yoga practice and psychology have made her an extremely valuable resource in my own quest for peace and awareness. I would highly recommend her guidance to anyone who is looking to explore their own path to a more whole state of being. "

I have been taking individual classes with her for several months, and in each session, she guides my yoga practice for stress reduction, meditation, and exercise. Kalyn’s knowledge, encouragement, and patience make her an absolute joy to work with.”
